On the afternoon of March 27, Zhang Mao, director of the State Administration for Market Supervision, met with Cheng Yunmo,the visiting Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea(MOTIE), and his party. Zhang Mao said that he hoped that the two sides will consolidate the cooperation and exchanges in the field of market regulation, strengthen cooperation in product quality and safety supervision, and jointly create an open and fair market environment.
Zhang Mao said that with the deepening of China's reform and opening up, the business environment has continued to improve, and the number of market players in the country has exceeded 100 million. The newly added enterprises and individual industrial and commercial households have driven the development of emerging businesses. At the same time, they also provided strong support for increase of employment. The market must develop in the norm, and fair competition requires the protection of the rule of law. The newly formed State Administration for Market Supervision has deepened the integration of institutional functions, promoted the continuous improvement of laws and regulations, and strengthened the supervision and enforcement of anti-monopoly, anti-unfair competition, standardization, intellectual property rights and trade secret protection in accordance with the law. the State Administration for Market Supervision is willing to strengthen cooperation with the ROK in the above-mentioned areas, establish a dialogue mechanism for product quality and safety supervision and promote the communication of laws and regulations as well as the interaction of technical personnel in order to promote new results in market supervision and cooperation between the two countries.
Zhang Mao said that the market supervision department will firmly adhere to the principle of competitive neutrality proposed in this year's "Government Work Report" with the purpose to create a fair, open and transparent market environment by adhering to fair and impartial law enforcement, treating all the enterprises like domestic-funded enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises, state-owned enterprises and private enterprises equally, and fully listening to the opinions of enterprises. The Chinese side welcomes Korean companies to actively invest in China and make greater contributions to the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
Cheng Yunmo said that the current economic and trade cooperation between China and South Korea is deepening, not only to ensure the growth of "quantity", but also to promote the "quality". The Korean investment company in China will strictly abide by Chinese laws and regulations, cooperate with government departments, and make positive contributions to promoting China's economic and social development.
