On the morning of February 1, Tian Shihong, deputy director of the State Administration for Market Supervision, met with visiting ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in China, and his team.
Tian Shihong first introduced the construction and the relevant functions of the State Administration for Market Supervision. He pointed out that the State Administration for Market Supervision would adhere to the concept "Great market, Extensive supervision", continue to optimize the environment for market access, competition and consumption to effectively promote the high-quality development of China's economy. It would also continue to provide better environment and a broader platform for the further cooperation of China's economic and trade relations with the rest of the world.
Tian Shihong said that China has always attached importance to developing friendly relations and cooperation with Belarus, and China-Belarus bilateral relations have developed steadily. In the past two years, President Lukashenka of Belarus has come to China twice to attend the "One Belt and One Road" International Cooperation Summit and the Qingdao Cooperation Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization separately and met with General Secretary Xi Jinping. At the same time, China-Belarus economic and trade relations have enjoyed a good relationship.
Rudy Kiryl expressed appreciation for China's work in optimizing the environment for market access, competition and consumption, especially in the field of standardization. It is hoped that relevant departments of the two countries will continue to strengthen communication and carry out multi-level exchanges and cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding and the protection of intellectual property rights and the registration of infant formula.
The relevant staffs from the Department of International Cooperation of the State Administration for Market Supervision and the Special Food Safety Supervision and Management Department attended the meeting.
