CNCA Signed Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Conformity Assessment with GSO

  On September 25, the chief engineer Ms. Bo Yumin of CNCA, led a delegation to visit the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) and held a seminar on conformity assessment with GSO. After the seminar, Ms. Bo Yumin and GSO Secretary-General Mr. Nabi Mora signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Conformity Assessment. In recent years, the economic and trade relations between China and the members of the GCC have been deepened, and improving the level of trade facilitation between China and the GCC members had become the focus of the conformity assessment serving "The Belt and Road" initiative and promoting the connectivity of trade. The two sides agreed to strengthen the policy communication and experience exchange on the conformity assessment system construction including compulsory product certification, green product certification, robot certification and other qualified assessment, to promote the mutual recognition of conformity assessment on the basis of mutual trust. The two sides made it clear that in order to facilitate trade, the mutual recognition arrangements could be signed on goods supply in the field of conformity assessment. The signing of the memorandum of understanding was of vital importance to the promotion of exporting Chinese products, to enhance China's influence in manufacturing, and to promote the level of trade facilitation between China and the GCC members.
